Criminal Advocacy: The Art of Cross-Examination
The Professional Development & Education Sub-Committee is organising a Seminar entitled “Criminal Advocacy: The Art of Cross-Examination.”
This seminar aims to provide insights from a Criminal Law practitioner particularly on the art of cross examination which forms an integral part in Criminal Advocacy.

- What is Cross-Examination;
- Primary styles of Cross-examination;
- Powers conferred on a cross examiner;
- General areas of questioning;
- The difference between ‘Put Questions’ and ‘Suggestive Questions’;
- How to Cross-Examine an Investigating Officer
