The Professional Development & Education Sub-Committee is organising a webinar entitled the “Use of Generative AI for lawyers.”
This session explores the practical use of Generative AI (GenAI) in legal practice, focusing on how lawyers can leverage GenAI for research, drafting, review, and analysis while maintaining professional judgment and ethical responsibility. Drawing from real litigation and advisory work, the talk demonstrates how GenAI can be used for day-to-day legal work.

CHENG LEONG is a lawyer focusing in the areas of Intellectual Property, Information Technology, Franchise, Privacy and Data Protection laws.
He is the author of the following books namely
(1) Compendium of Malaysian Intellectual Property Cases - Trade Marks,
(2) Compendium of Malaysian Intellectual Property Cases - Copyright, and
(3) Foong's Malaysia Cyber, Electronic Evidence and Information Technology Law
He is also a contributor of the Malaysian Chapter of Data Protection Laws of the World, published by Sweet and Maxwell.
